Jamaican Style Patties
The
patty, similar to an empanada, can be found throughout the
Caribbean and South America in various styles. It is typically made
from a pastry shell with either a meat or vegetable filling.
However,
the Jamaican style patty has been the most sought-after. It is
the food of choice in the Caribbean and even rivals the hamburger.
Island
Paradise Foods, under the Irie MON™ brand,
produces a Jamaican
style patty consisting of a savory golden brown pastry crust filled
with a delicious beef, chicken or vegetable filling either
mild or
spicy. Also available in a cocktail style that is approximately
half the size of a standard patty, it is perfect as an hors d'oeuvre,
giving any occassion that special.

true Jamaican style jerk wings that are Irie MON™.
These are made using authentic
Jamaican Jerk seasoning, marinated to perfection and spiced either mild
or hot - we are waiting on
feedback on whether or not a Very Hot can be
handled! The wings are
then baked - not fried therefore reducing harmful
fats, to a tender, fall-off-the-bone finger licking goodness.
Marinades & Spices
If
main ingredients can be considered the foundation of a dish, then the
marinades & spices can be called the decorations. Would you
consider
painting your house grey, installing grey carpet, grey drapes and grey
furniture? I don't think so. Adding a bit of color, or under the right
circumstances a lot of color adds variety and makes life that more
interesting.
Our line of Marinades & spices does just that. We have selected
these products to enhance every meal with vibrant flavors. Need a bit
more punch? Just add a bit more to your recipe or crank it up with our
hot sauces.
Hot Sauces
No
disrespect to the manufacturers of the 'other' fine hot Sauces
available but, in my
opinion nothing beats the flavor and
aroma of a Congo pepper or a Scotch Bonnet pepper. Island Paradise
Foods has captured the essence of these little fruits in a line of
sauces that are a perfect fit for your spice rack.
Don't be misled, we not only capture the rich flavors and aromas but
the heat also - a bit of Caribbean sunshine in a bottle.
We start with our traditional style, this is has a fruity flavor and a
lot of heat, perfect on any meal. Next we have our specially blended
lime pepper. This can be used as a food enhancer, seafood marinade or
base for your very own creations. Remember having oysters around the
savannah in Port-Of-Spain Trinidad? Well, that unique blend of Cilantro
(or shadow benny), lime, garlic and other spices can be found in our
Spicy Seafood Sauce.
